Disneyland/Los Angeles
In this post, I will be sharing all about my recent trip to Los Angeles with my husband and our four kids. We flew from San Antonio, Texas to LAX, and we were immediately struck by the high gas prices compared to what we were used to back home. Our Uber driver was very rude! That was the last thing we wanted after landing in LA at 10:00 pm, with hungry and tired kids.
Despite the initial shock, we were excited to explore all that LA had to offer. Our first stop was Disneyland, which was the primary reason for our trip. We spent three days at the park, riding all the rides and enjoying the magical atmosphere. The kids were in heaven, and we all had a blast.
On the other days, we explored other parts of LA. We visited the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, where we saw the stars of our favorite celebrities. We also checked out the Griffith Observatory, which offered stunning views of the city and a chance to learn about space and science.
One of the highlights of our trip was visiting the Santa Monica Pier, where we enjoyed the beach, the amusement park, and the delicious food. We also visited Venice Beach, which was a unique experience that we will never forget.
I must mention the weather was amazing! We traveled at the beginning of June. The temps never got above 85 degrees a much-needed treat from our blistering 100+ temps we were experiencing in San Antonio.
Traveling with four kids can be challenging, but we learned a lot from our trip. Here are some tips that we found helpful:
1. Plan ahead: Make a list of all the places you want to visit and schedule them out so that you can make the most of your time.
2. Bring snacks and drinks: It's important to keep everyone fed and hydrated, especially when you're out and about all day.
3. Take breaks: Don't be afraid to take breaks throughout the day, whether it's sitting down for a meal or resting your feet for a few minutes.
4. Be flexible: Sometimes things don't go according to plan, and that's okay. Be prepared to change your itinerary if needed and go with the flow.
Overall, our trip to Los Angeles was an unforgettable experience that we will cherish forever. With a little bit of planning and flexibility, traveling with kids can be a lot of fun.
If you are like me and have to plan every detail in the packing list it can be frustrating trying to pack for six people. I made a list of things that I never travel without as a mom, that you may find helpful! I hope you find them useful as I did!
